A travel into childhood, filled with magical and enchanted characters. The illustrations of the Swedish artist Alexander Jansson seem to cross and plumb the childhood dreams, which often dress ancestral nightmares and “imaginative”. Illustrations are hypnotic, surreal, certainly fabulous. Her magical world is populated by strange animals, ghostly ships, bizarre nocturnal creatures, ghosts, extravagant houses, tents of a unlikely circus. His works live in dark tones and dark that the call to the oldest and deepest of ourselves, sap for hearts, traveling backwards, trying to find the lost treasure of childhood innocence.
In his illustrations is the whole atmosphere of the long and dark Swedish winter made of shadows and dark appearances. The Swedish winter brings stories, fairy tales and legends: an immense imagination transformed into pencil strokes, colors and finally pixels.
Alexander Jansson published his works also on its web channels and social networks and has become very well known. Here are some examples of his magical illustrations.
