Vincent Lagrange is a Belgian photographer. He takes photos of animals for a project inspired by his love for animals. The Project Name is Human Animal and it consists of a series of photographs that displays human emotions in his animals portraits. He photographs dogs, cats and a variety of reptiles and amphibians.
Lagrange puts emphasis on facial expressions of his “models” – a mixture of contemplation, anger, sadness – and discovers that the similarity with a human face is amazing.
‘‘Today most people photograph just people, but only a few photograph animals,” explained Legrange to Yatzer. “I tried to photograph the animals as humans, depicting their emotion and human-like characteristics in a sombre way.’’
